What is the best way to generate leads for my health and wellness business, with so many options I would love some guidance to narrow down my options?
I am a network marketer working with a company called Limitless Worldwide and although I am having success with my personal network I would like to set up a process to automate warm leads and start branding myself as the product/service. Any advice on lead generation would be greatly appreciated.
Network with Baby Boomers! There are a few million of us and many are now very health conscious.
Help that helps,

I just answered another question but will give you the same answer: do the Skillshare training 'the Modern Marketing Workshop' by Seth Godin. This will teach you how you can differentiate yourself in the market plus gives you a community to work with. Advice is always helpful but you will really need your own marketing plan!
Hi Jason. some great answers here already. A quick addition. consider B2B. Approach companies and make an offering probably through the HR department of a package to suit their clients. Discount it for the company. Best. Remi
I agree with everyone here on not enough information to go on. What businesses want are customers or clients. I mean paying buying clients. What is a lead? That depends on the question asked. In general it is someone that has expressed some interest related to a topic. That is pretty broad. If the question is "Do you want to feel better?" Then that could be anyone and everyone.
What people and businesses need is to be easy to find and identified as what they are looking for when they are looking which is on their terms. For example, if someone has just left a restaurant, had a great meal and asked if they would like to come to this fantastic restaurant but it has to be right now then timing is off. If the person has not eaten in 3 days and is asked if want this piece of bread they would say yes. Timing of and what the question is.
If what you are looking for is a network marketing business as mentioned above in comments then that has its own type of market. Whatever you do you need to be identifiable as a person others should listen to or look to. What makes you that in health and wellness. Before people want to hear what you know they need to if you know what you are talking about.
Tap your local Library. Come up with a theme 'Health & Wellness in 2014' (not that one though, find your sweet spot) and offer a free talk. That's it. This assumes of course everyone in your life & online social network is aware of your new business. Oh, and invite them too!
Define your target market and ideal client. Go where they get their buying information.
Develop your message using the marketing equation, Interrupt, Engage, Educate and Offer.
Hi Jason,
Great question! Since you're already a network marketer and having success with your personal network, I think your best bet would be to consider implementing an automated marketing solution like Infusionsoft or HubSpot. They have well defined processes methodologies and resources for generating leads and automating warm leads.
Though the initial cost of implementing an automated marketing solution might seem a bit pricy, from your post I'm guessing that you're already a well established network marketer and as such you should not view this as a cost but rather as an investment in the success of your business.
Hope this helps?
Pick one channel you're familiar with and you see other people using successfully. Work that channel until you're able to automate the process(within reason). Along the way write down every thought you have related to "I wish there was a service that helped me X" or "Why isn't anyone doing it this way?"
Forget finding your target market and answer this one question "What benefit am I truly providing to people." That's a start. The next step is to see if anyone in your current network will buy from you based on that benefit. If not go back to the drawing board. Don't start with a plan. Just start trying to sell the product and create the plan along the way based off what works.
Simply network with doctors, schools, physician staffs, and others. It's about AIDA or Awareness> Interest> Desire > Action. Make presentations at schools and classrooms. How about clubs. We wanted to reach artorneys and lawyers and their staffs. i am giving presentations at UCLA School of Law, Southwestern School of Law and USC School of Law. One is helping me with the others. It's all about networking and getting the word out plus good WOM or - "word of mouth.
Thanks, Saqib, but be sure to add nurses. They are the ones including the scheduling people who will really make the "right" decisions and help make the needle move in networking for this specific instance.
When I read your question I take away that you are actually looking to become a lead broker for the health & wellness industry and more specifically the network marketing sub niche of that. To be honest, while generating and selling leads can be a very lucrative business, I would pick a different niche.
I gently disagree that you really have as many options with that industry. PPC advertising on Google or Facebook for that niche is pretty much impossible without cloaking or other methods against their TOS.
Most of the major players in the niche you are talking about including big lead brokers buy leads through CPA networks. They are dealing in high volumes and economies of scales.
So my advice. If you want to start a lead generation business, pick a different niche or even specialize in generating leads for local businesses with high value customers who will pay top dollar per lead.
If you want quality warm leads for you own business and have the cash flow, check into setting up a vendor account with a good CPA company and let others do the hard part while you just buy leads at a price that makes business sense to you.
Probably not the answer you were looking for but truly trying to help. - Jack
Without knowing the specifics about your company, your marketing efforts will be greatly determined by your target market. One of my marketing consults included a chiropractor's office. Their biggest lead generation came from after hour dinner, meet and greets - similar to lunch and learns. This link is spot on: http://www.lifehealthpro.com/2013/01/01/50-best-ways-to-generate-leads
I wish you the best in your endeavors!
Lead generation is a combination of various strategies and then you identify which one is working for you. Let's look at a few popular ones - SEO - you have to find the right tag line, good landing page/words to get a good ranking. When you get the lead you also need a good automated email system to convert them to a customer.
Then there is the online optimized mobile website that you can use to generate leads from your personal network - so they are doing the work for you by sharing your information.
Seeing that you are in health and wellness you can do some free sessions on various topics in health and wellness relating to your product and of course there is the education blog that you can venture to do.
The thing is to try various strategies and keep testing them - volume of traffic, sales, profits etc to see which is working for you.
Hi Jason,
My company works with clients across the globe in building data bases and lead generation.
The way we do it is to identify what a client considers a lead to be.
Some just want a name address and phone number. Others want people to actively confirm they are interested in a product/ service. So establishing this sets the scene for what happens next.
Once this is establish we then agree what volume of leads are required a what payment model the client is happy to pay for each lead.
We then go out to various ad networks , performance based agencies and data owner who would be prepare to work on a performance basis. So you are only going to pay for what you get.
This solution is only suitable if you are looking for large volumes of lead min 10,000+.
We did this very well for Groupon when they wanted to launch here in the UK
Jason, you have taken the first steps towards growth by recognizing your opportunities in lead generation and personal branding. You need to build on these to create a comprehensive business strategy. You need clearly articulated strategies that enable you to achieve your goals and beat your competition. For example, a robust lead generation machine does little unless you can succinctly explain why a customer should buy from you rather than your competitors. That may well require branding and positioning; it will certainly require understanding who your most likely customers are, why they buy products like yours, and what makes them dissatisfied with the status quo.
Net, start with strategy, specifically answering the question "How will I win in this market?" Then translate those strategies into a comprehensive plan of tactics like automated lead generation and personal branding.
I firmly believe that the best way is to correctly establish and develop yourself and your unique selling proposition on the Internet. When done correctly and fully, it is the least expensive and highest potential roi in existence today. Doing it RIGHT, though--is the key! Warm, willing to buy, real leads that find YOU first is the true holy grail of business.
As much as i would like to help you, my expertise is in b2b marketing and high tech. While some of the methodologies cross, i'm not comfortable giving you advice in what you are asking...
regards
ernest
Hi Jason, There is no one size fits all lead generation marketing plan for your business, though of course there are many tools and tactics you can use. But you need to start with a strategic plan. Look at your competitive set and see how you stack up, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, etc. Identify your target market, in terms of primary, secondary, low hanging fruit, etc. Then based on your SWOT analysis, you need to position yourself against your competition. What is your unique selling proposition. When you're moving beyond your personal network to a wider audience, establishing your brand will be the most important part of the equation as you know. But you need to start there, before getting caught up with tactics. Obviously you need a website that reflects your brand and is SEO optimized. You also need a social media presence -- establishing yourself as an expert through blogging and developing relationships with influential bloggers in your target market. You need to turn your existing network of customers into advocates and influencers. I could go on and on, but basically you need a plan. If you need or what a basic strategic plan outline to focus your thinking, I'd be glad to email to you.
I would start by identifying your unique edge in building that business. What is the thing that you can do better than others to make a greater connection?
Unfortunately there is no precise answer to your question without knowing more about your goals and business plan - As a video producer I find a series of videos generally targeted to your proposed audience answering some of the concerns your clients have and posted to your web page MAY be a start - Of course this is ONLY a start and it may or may not work for you or all your needs - this is something that you need to evaluate and formulate the best way to use the information you desire. In terms of lead generation, being on the top of a search engine is a good place to start that will drive the potential clients to your website and then generate the interest and leads you desire...
HI Jason, Being a former healthcare CEO who had control of most of my marketing efforts, I love to shared with you how I grew my clinics. Currently I own my own digital ad agency. So I think I could be of real assistance to you.
Let me know if you would like a call to further discuss you options.
Best,
Clayton
i would like to agree Larry here. The channels that can create basic lead and can transform into real business preposition through networking with doctors, physicians. The channel of doctors and physicians are the tools that helps to influence the product or service to the end users specially in health and wellness industry.
