Just launching and as far as I can see, total genius!
The key is knowing your product inside and out, and being very passionate about what you have to offer.
I like to ask questions first to find out how the person I'm talking with might be a good fit. When you hear of things they need that you can offer, that's when you educate them based on how good of a fit you are.
If you are meeting one to one, its always better to approach it from the heart. Never sell, just educate on how you can help. Then leave it up to them decide.
Online is a whole different story. There you need to educate even more so, but do it in a very personal way. That's where stories come in to play. Speak to one person and tell stories. The more personal you are, the more you'll touch the heart of the people that read it. If they can see themselves in what you have to say, your sales process works a lot easier.
Ditch the script. Even a well rehearsed salesmen is tacky if scripted. Most humans pick this up, and immediately get annoyed. The best 'scripts' are done on the fly.
Hola Ja'Nala,
The first step is to have the right database of people who are interested in your product/service. If you are contacting everyone, that equals to contacting no one and a total waste of time.
Secondly, identify the needs of that segment. Why is it relevant what you are trying to sell them? What's the VALUE they can get from you instead of going through one of your competitors?
Last but not least, respect is always much appreciated. Being agressive in sales is commonly misunderstood to being pushy and annoying. Nobody likes that... not even us as sales people when someone tries to do that to us.
Keep your message simple, concise and straight to the point.
Best of lucks and happy selling!
Well I am not having that much of Knowledge over the script but, I am sure I can give you 4 tips which is definitely going to help you out in writing a marketing script:
Tip No 1: Well, I would say here don't start with "May I have a few minutes to ... or spare a few minutes", rather than you'd say "I'd like to discuss how........... So can I ask you couple of questions?"
Tip No 2: Concentrate over the the information you need to obtained and that can be done by writing your question either closed-ended or open-ended. I am sure you know about Closed-ended and Open-ended but let me clear this Closed-ended question can be answered simply in one word, like "Are you looking for Job change?"etc. While the Open-ended question allows the prospect to answer freely, like "What you did in last weekend? or Tell me more about you !".
Tip No 3: Always prepared for objections which is surely going to come, and the best way to work out with this is try asking the same questions to your team as it will help you in developing good answers of some common question you encounter. As I think you understand a well prepared scripted answer is going to boost up the selling process.
Tip No 4: Last but not the least think about the closing scripts, Why I am telling this is you are not writing this script in which people say "I'm not interested". Try using the line "Do you feel it can solve your .....???" or try seeking the alternatives.
I hope this can help you in clearing some of your doubts.
