What is the difference between iPOW (increased presence online worldwide) and SEO?
Someone was telling me that iPOW can eventually replace SEO, because it is a better way to rank a brand's presence online.
IPOW & SEO are related to each other. SEO helps in increasing the online presence worldwide. In SEO there are various techniques for increasing the online presence like article submission, forum posting, blog commenting etc.. Social Media a part of SEO is also helping in increasing the online presence.
Ipow or Seo for worldwide , Both are sae things , just given different names . I wonder some people are also selling mobile seo to get ranked on m.google.com .
SERIOUSLY !! too many un ethical practices are going on in the SEO industry , Small Businesses with low amount of marketing budget and very low information on Seo often are trapped by these Scums .
SEO is not a piece of cake hence many SEO companies fail to deliver whats promised .
Coming back to the topic , Javier , SEO cannot be outdone as this is the best form of marketing if done correctly .
Regards
John
You cannot increase presence online without some smart SEO strategies in the mix. It's possible that iPOW is just a clever way to rename these strategies and related tactics. In the last 5 years or so, "Content Marketing" came along and displaced a lot of traditional "old-school" SEO practitioners. Wny? It's not about link-building and gaming search engine algorithms. It's about compelling content and heartfelt story copy (and images) that reach for the important emotional connection. Make sure your site is optimized? Absolutely. Incorporate social media? Yes -- Google looks for "social signals". Market via the power of your own story? Again, yes. Focus on lead? Of course -- that's the bottom line.
iPOW comes into existence when you unleash a well researched and well planned 360 degrees digital media strategy for the brand.
Increased presence online worldwide (iPOW) and search engine optimization (SEO) goes hand in hand. However, you achieve each one differently.
SEO is a way to gain points with the Search Engine Spiders and this model is used on every platform, from websites to LinkedIn. However you can maximize your SEO on one platform and will not have reached iPOW. If you want to have increased presence online worldwide you will need to maximize your SEO on every platform you reside on, even here.
Does this take a long time? No, not if you have a system and you stick to one theme/field/subject on every site/platform. For example, I am a Marketer and I specialize in Social Media Strategies. I want Lashondra Graves to be attached to Social Media Strategies and Marketing. I use my system to reach SEO based on those subjects and I do it on every single Platform I put any time into. It's not hard or doesn't take a lot of time because I stick to those subjects and it's what I do. Can I achieve Worldwide online presence? Yes because I have optimized my SEO on every site I spend time on.
Bing brought up some iPOW references when you spelled it out as increase presences Online Worldwide. The third link is to a YouTube video that says pretty much what a lot of folks answered already but it's in an easy to share format of a 2 minute video.

G and Bing failed on iPOW though. Seems there is an iPad accessory with that name.
SEO is the action of designing websites that are higher in ranking or closer to the top of the first page shown by a search engine when a phrase or key words are entered in the search field. The closer to the top of the first page offered as a result of a search, the more traffic one is likely to get.
iPOW is about increasing presence and distinctly different to SEO. Think in terms of positioning ads you might see on TV such as Caltex or one of the sports companies placing ads to positiion them in a good light. Quite different to SEO which is about increasing website or webpage through the use of search engines..
I could go on but that is the gist of it.
Hi Javier, great question! I want you to imagine marketing your business offline for a second. Say you have a Greek food restaurant. How would your restaurant be represented on the outside to show people that you specialize in Greek food? You would put up signs, pictures and banners that represent and communicate to people that this place is all about Greek Food. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is exactly that, you are showing people online what your online property is all about by using digital content to represent your website.
Well now say you wanted to get the word out to the masses about your new Greek Restaurant. What would you do? You would perhaps create a flyer that best represents your restaurant and distribute it locally, and you may even hit up some local television and radio stations to advertise your restaurant. Ipow will work in the same fashion it will give you mass exposure however will not bring you targeted traffic.
In other words SEO helps when people are searching for something specific. And ipow helps when you want brand exposure, but doesn't necessarily get you targeted traffic. It's like a shot gun not a sniper rifle. You may hit something but not very accurate.
I don't think that iPow can't replace SEO, but it may become a increasingly important factor in ranking websites. After all if you send out a whole bunch of flyers, radio and t.v. ads and people actually show up only to find a tire shop on the outside instead of a Greek restaurant do you think they would go in? No so SEO helps you represent your website and tells the visitor and search engine spiders what exactly it is all about. Hope that answers your question. Cheers.
Please explain iPOW....a google search for the exact term brings us:
No results found for "increased presence online worldwide".
I've never heard the term before.
SEO is a long-term strategy that requires a lot of investment--time and money. It is not something that can happen over night and if your website is not optimized properly all the way around, search engines will in fact ignore parts of your site all together ranking you lower. However, iPOW is not a replacement for SEO. The two really work together. iPOW is more of getting your brand name out there and seen more often as SEO is MAINLY targeted at getting your site just seen on search engines. It is important to increase your presence online in conjuncture with SEO. The more iPOW you have, the quicker you will rise in the ranks in regards to SEO. iPOW is a quicker process than SEO. You can increase your iPOW in many different ways-- through paid placement, paid listings, social media, advertisements, online marketers, etc.
SEO is such a lengthy process because you want to make sure your website is indexed as deeply as possible by search engines, primarily Google, and ranks well in the long-term and there are so many factors that go into SEO which is why many companies hire an online marketing company to maintain their website and SEO as Google analytics are constantly changing on how sites are ranked.
This is the first I've heard of iPOW, and Google has been of no help in my quest to find out what it is. Can you elaborate?
iPOW is a system for increasing initiatives.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a technique(s) used to align all content on the internet to a search algorithm. All systems including social media, blogs so on and so forth must use SEO techniques to be found when a query is made.
Does this help a little?
