What is your favorite local business and why?
Local businesses can be really special. I often think big name brands should pay more attention to local businesses and how they attract customers. I'm curious to hear what your favorite local business is and what makes them special. Is it a local pizza shop, coffee hut, or farmer's stand? How do they keep your business? Thanks for sharing. Local businesses matter.
I have so many to name :). For starters, Healthy Changes Pilates Studio - it is not only my exercise studio (I’m there 6 days/week and loving it!) but also where I get my zen. It is a great community of people where I’ve been inspired, motivated and found friends.
When we talk about local business, I don't think there could be any single one that we could talk about as we are all dependent upon them for our daily needs, be it our local grocery store or local coffee shop. One thing I find common in all of them is the warmth and the friendliness with which they welcome and greet each of their customers. The whole atmosphere seems so friendly that we don't hesitate to talk to and joke with other customers whom we don't even know and have just met their for the first time, that too just for a couple of minutes.
I have to be completely honest, I can't find a single local business that I would say I am unequivocally loyal to except for our local Carrabba's . I know, I know it's a chain, but I can't help it. It's the only one that is completely consistent every time I visit. I've been to their restaurants in more than a dozen states, and have yet to be disappointed. I can't say that about any other business I spend money with.
My favorite local business is my own, of course! I wouldn't have it any other way. I hope your answer is the same...

The traditional hardware store: Morgans in New Alresford, Hampshire, UK.
Why? Because when I was growing up, my dad owned a... traditional hardware store. When we first moved here, the owner's son even worked there on Saturdays... just like I did.
Ahhh Memory Lane. Thank you.

There is this little European cafe in my home town of Virginia Beach. Besides good food they always remember us and greet us like friends. Even when we see them out in public. ..
Amen!!!
