What is your favorite small social media site?
As a marketing strategist, I often direct the businesses that I work with to small and new social media sites. The key points for my argument for small social media sites are: 1. They do not limit exposure. 2. Small social media sites are still just trying to get users on board. That means that advertising through these small social media sites is generally inexpensive or free. 3. As a rule of thumb, small businesses should support other small business. What is your favorite small social media site?
I'm stumped. I don't have one. Yes, as a rule of thumb, small businesses should support other small business, but time is finite and priceless. I suspect that if I was actively working a niche I might find a small social media site relevant. Frankly, I'm curious how everyone answers your last question, "What is your favorite small social media site?"

Linkedin, as it is, for now, international, complete enough that nearly anybody has an account and has not been too crowded yet with advertisement and meaningless personal information ("yaaay, I showered my cat today!")
Well this site has recently become my personal favourite and is probably in the category "small". Professionally I cannot really say I have a favourite small social media site. Any interesting ones you can recommend to the HUB?
Not sure if its the right strategy to target Small Social media Sites by ignoring the large ones.. Its like giving a lecture in a Empty Hall.. If you need to get presence felt then you need to go where there are people and Small Social Media Sites. And yes i agree with your Point no 3.
Well, I am not sure about this one but like some members have already raised their concern that ignoring larger social media sites isn't going to be fruitful at all ! I don't think that small social media sites have that much genuine user base as all ! Also even if their are some quality people over their then i don't think they use if much and not using it's going to ruin most of the things your tried contacting them it will go unanswered, you share something interesting it will go unseen. Anyway rest I'll leave these things over to you for deciding ! Also as far as answering your question is concerned then I don't think I use small social media platform, I don't have any idea about it at all !
I agree with all of your points. However, I do feel you need to have a presence on the larger platforms as well. The ones I mainly use are the bigger ones, FB, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+
My firm is consulting/developing Barpage.com in case you have any legal clients. We have a ways to go in terms of functionality but it will be way more bespoke and customized than LinkedIn
As of the moment, it's LinkedIn. Though, I can't categorize it is a "small" social media site. The site was quite positive in targeting future clients and the blogs were helpful, too.
I can see your viewpoint however, I believe we need to go where a business' potential clients are. While I'm on Twitter and Facebook, I'm finding Google+ interesting and working to build on that site.
Facebook is most powerful website to advertise your products.
Aliaz, About me,.#Twitch...I'd say, are all excellent 'niche' Social Media plateform that are efficient and entertaining too.
