What is your favorite Ted Talk?
I've been so addicted to Ted Talks lately and would love to find some great new topics- what is everyone's favorite video?
The TED Talk that got a standing ovation at TEDx Maastricht 2013:
Dan Meyer:
"Doing the Impossible, Swallowing the Sword, Cutting Through Fear"

Great Question.
I regularly get my clients who have confidence issues to watch Amy Cuddy Power Poses and They Work!

To me the talks by Sir Ken Robinson are so important. The need to fix the root problem for all the rest to happen is the key. It has inspired me to work harder to inspire others to achieve their dreams.
I have two favorites--
Sarah Kay

and Derek Sivers, "How to Start a Movement"

I have many videos that could easily qualify to be "the best," and each of them feature Michael Porter (Harvard Business School). I find his concepts regarding "shared social value" to be very insightful.

I enjoy this one about leaders, followers and building a movement.

The one by Simon Sinek in 2009 at TEDx on sales from a core purpose is great!
Without a doubt Simon Sinek Ted Talk - Start with Why - How Great Leaders Inspire Action... I use on a regular basis with clients as I start by business strategy / coaching process. Here is the link -http://www.ted.com/talks/simon_sinek_how_great_leaders_inspire_action.html
Completely agree. I've watched this several times and I think it should be on my weekly to do list. He's brilliant!

Regards!
The first Ted talk that came to mind for me was Mike Rowe's talk about learning from Dirty Jobs:

As one of the YouTube commenters summarized, "DON'T follow your dreams because it really sucks. Find something you can do reasonably well and enjoy it."
This is for me one of the most important ted talks I ever seen.

This Man is so right... Just inspiring
Thanks Miguel- this was great! Ernesto is so animated & passionate about his message. The hippo anecdote was very effective for getting his point across.
Carrie,
I'm glad you asked this- I'm addicted to Ted Talks too and am always looking for new videos!
My current favorite is Tony Robbin's "Why We Do What We Do"
http://www.ted.com/talks/tony_robbins_asks_why_we_do_what_we_do.html
He talks about the art of achievement and fulfillment and how they impact everything we do. I highly recommend it!
Evelyn Glennie - a professional musician who's been deaf since childhood

Gary, I totally agree- that is one of my all time favorites. Only Brené could make a talk on vulnerability and shame entertaining and educational!
