What priorities do you set for your day to day business management?
Time management is important to all of us in our day to day activities. What are your top 5 priorities as a start-up entrepreneur to succeed in your competitive industry.
1- start the day with some mediation to prepare my day - creative energy
2- clear vision to get my focus on track - helicopter view
3- take few minutes during the day to reflect, monitor and keep going - positive thinking
4- ask/question, share/learn, challenge/review...communication & networking
5- finish the day with a review and be thankful/grateful of being so far already
The answer depends upon your strategic vision and mission for the business. Your top 5 priorities must be based on where you want to take the business and how you want to get there. With a clear vision and strategic mission you can set priorities that will move your in the direction you want to take the business.
•Never rush a job.
•Keep on the lookout for competitive advantages .
•Keep in contact with clients that may yield more orders/projects etc.
•Set a fixed time for E-mail & social media (huge time-sink and social media does not always yield for SMB's).
•Do not overwork yourself.
1. close sale
2. minimum setup for operation readiness
3. walk-through and reshape vision and plan
4. generate more leads
5. build sales networks
According to my journey, every day in a start-up phase your day should reflect short term , medium term and long term goals , aligning the action with aspiration. Sales are more important than profit. Cash is more important than credit .Customer is more important than product/service. Positive attitude towards customer putting you down is a long term customer service. Weekly review is more important that monthly plan. Learn to Say No.
