What type of link building activities should I be doing on a daily basis?
Hi,
I'm trying to improve the ranking of my website. I know that link building is very important for a website to get ranking with a lot of on page and off page factors. What link building activities should I be doing on a daily basis?
As of now, I am only doing forum posting and blog commenting on a daily basis. I feel like there is more I can be doing for link building.
If you are publishing content on daily basis, then its necessary to do link building on daily basis, otherwise if you kept on building links for a single web page everyday, google might consider it as spam.
For new links you can follow below techniques -
Social Bookmarking
Blog Commenting
Directory Submissions
Social Media Sharing
Classifieds (if your business offer services or products)
Profile Creation
Above techniques can be used on daily basis. Occasionally you can also explore Article Submission.
I know you must be in need of respective resources you can find them here - Gravityofseo.com
Thanks
Commenting on glots and forums is likely not doing anything for your overall website search ranking. Many of these a no-follow links, so they're not passing link juice.

3. Blog commenting
4. Profile backlink
5. Question answering
6. Infographic submission
7. Forum posting
And most important is the guest posting.
Blog commenting is indeed a great way to build high-quality backlinks and indeed, it is one of my daily tasks too. Additionally, you can try guest post outreaching. The daily tasks should include finding prospects, getting their touchpoints and interacting with them. Guest post has proven to be the most effective link building technique during my career of more than 10 years.

There are many good answers in this thread. Here's a simple formula to follow:
1. Build directories (relevant).
2. Write blog posts on your own site (build internal links).
3. Build profiles on relevant sites.
4. Reach out to relevant blog owners and ask to provide content otherwise known as guest posting. This is your most powerful form of link building but the others cannot be ignored either. Use search modifiers to refine your search.
If you are talking about link building on daily basis then you should follow some points.
1. Social Media
2. Image Sharing
3. Blog Commenting
Social Media: Social media is the best option for both traffic generation and link building. They have a huge number of visitors, so if you are getting too many followers on your page you can convert them in audience. The second thing is they have High DA/PA so getting a link (even nofollow) will be best for any web/blog.
Image Sharing: Image sharing is also a good option. You can make it on regular basis. Infographic is also a better choice.
Blog Commenting: Nothing new in blog commenting, but you should follow some rules in it. Like niche will be similar to your web/blog. And don't comment on any spam website.
Guest posting is one of the ways to get link building. Other than this, there are many sites with a high-authority domain that accepts content submissions and offer back-links as well. As you are already doing commenting and stuff, find out sites that accept write-up as well. At the same time, make sure that the sites are offering you do-follow links otherwise the link building activity is of no use.
You should do the following on a daily basis:
1) Social Media
2) Comment Submissions
3) Business Listings
4) Q/A
-Begin with analyzing your keywords related to what you want to rank for.
-Start using free trial versions of software like Semrush, Moz etc. to see how currently you are doing with your website.
-After listing your keywords start blogging and listing your business on directories.
And keep searching and learning.
1. Look for relevant blogs in your niche.
2. Contact them and offer a good piece which will be of great value to them, and you get a backlink as well.
3. Repeat.
You might not want to hear this, but the best way to get links is by putting content on your site that is irresistible. Anyone that sees it feels compelled to link to it by telling their friends in online discussions. Nowadays a link can go viral on Twitter or whatever.
Irresistible?
Content ideas:
Cute kittens or puppies,
Cute baby pics doing funny things,
Beauty contest,
Pics of beautiful girls,
Cars, motorcycles, etc.
Get creative!
First, you need to prepare a list of all sites that relate to your topic or line of business that you offer, then you try to blog around those sites. Also, I highly recommend circulating your content on all social networking sites.
If you are new to digital marketing and want to know how to strategies for digital marketing operation, I'd suggest you visit this site: http://www.trainmehub.com/category/digital-marketing/
I'm not promoting any site, but just sharing the info as they have got some great insight on digital marketing operations and related topics that can help you to build your strategy.
Have you set up a lot of social media accounts? There are literally dozens and when you set up your profile with your website and all other social platforms with it as much as you can its a powerful link building strategy.
Have you looked and entered your business in directories, especially in your own city? They are quite effective and there are over 100 of them if you search hard enough. Plus then you can also enter in social profiles where available on these directory sites.
Its best to check these sites don't just say 'Add your link' and that's all the site is for. Reputable directories can be checked for traffic volumes too. I recommend using Ahrefs.com to see their organic traffic figures for any site and go with those with at least 2,000 visitors per month.
Another name for these directories is 'citations' where you enter your Business Name, Address and Phone number (NAP). Look for sites that offer these as a done for your service, such as whitespark.ca - they are highly reputable and prices are excellent.
With basic links like these and very good On-page SEO along the lines of what Matt Diggity says, helps sites to rank extremely well. My own site ranks 6th for a 1600 keyword phrase by focusing a little more on these ingredients in the past months, especially from refining my TITLES on pages.
Another factor is the copywriting or words on your website. The more 'visitor friendly' they are, the more people want to stay on your site.
I recently saw the strong evidence that View Time of a site is a strong ranking factor as I improved my website homepage a lot with a better video, plus a better headline and View Time increased and my ranking on the site overall increased by over 25% in a matter of weeks.
These small things can make huge differences so I'd concentrate a lot on them to start with.
90% of all business service websites are about 20% "optimized" for both visitors and Google. This results in high bounce rates, low view times and therefore low number of impressions for the site in searches, plus low numbers of clicks etc.
Its a subject I am passionate about and cover in my own website optimization and digital marketing training called The Marketing Fast Track. Let me know if you want to know more. This training has saved clients thousands of dollars on SEO services.
