What tools best assist with lead generation in social media?
For one of my ventures, social media is the main tool I am using to promote the company's products/services. We're currently experimenting with Hootsuite, but I'm curious about other good ones that might be out there. What tools do you use?
Hootsuite isn't bad but at times it has had many glitches which impacts our work with Clients. Therefore, we prefer using Social Sprout. Check it out.
In the world of social media lead generation, your biggest ally is going to be clear, concise, and consistent information. We use Hootsuite at my agency and we love it, but it can only do so much when you have an entire gammut of information to release to the public. Try integrating Buffer in to your workflow as much as possible to help you keep that "drip" going! =)
If it's in your budget, I recommend Moz (www.moz.com) to every single one of my clients doing lead generation. After all, you need to know how well your lead generation campaigns are working in terms of visibility and conversion, right? Moz will give you very clear metrics from which to base your future messaging cycles.
Hope this helps!
Any tool for posting will do the mechanics of posting. Just make sure that the end result looks like a natural post.
Most social media sites display best if you use the native interface of a phone or web browser, and the rule change often, so make sure you are at least logging in to the site as a user wold to check.
That being said, the posting is a small part of success. Answering questions, joining discussions and serving the community are far more important. The last thing you want to do is be seen posting ads for your company expecting free media.
If you look for those who are looking for help, see that they get it, you will soon have the reputation for people needing products and services. It's the person to person connection that sets you apart and generates leads.
If you want it faster, just by ads there's no limit to the speed o paid placement.
It depends. First, which social media outlet does your target market and ideal client use? Are you in the consumer space or B2B space?
99% of the time, the message is more important than the tactic you use to deliver the message. Make sure you have the correct message and ensure it properly communicates your value before you pick the marketing tactic to deliver it.
I'd say Hootsuite and Sproutsocial are two top services - you should also check out Hubspot - not exactly the same but equally valuable.
Also if you're using Twitter Tweetdeck (free) is a must if you're on a tight budget, I recommend it to anyone really, the post scheduling features are top notch.
Also Buffer would be wise to use (also post scheduling) that comes with analytics.
It depends on the venture, doesn't it? For the lead gen campaign I worked on for a client, LinkedIn was the best at converting in terms of setting up demos.
