Which social/digital analytics tools do you use? How do you measure the effectiveness of your social media strategies?
I am writing an advice-based article about social media marketing. I wonder how do you evaluate the effectiveness of your social media marketing strategies? For example, what are your social media marketing goals? Specifically, which social/digital/web analytics tools do you use? Why do you choose to use these social/digital analytics tools? What do you measure? Which metrics do you use? Please feel free to share your experiences, thoughts, and ideas!
When you answer my questions, please let me know whether your SMB is a business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B) company or a nonprofit (NP) organization!
Social media marketing is the process of gaining website traffic or attention through social media sites. The goal of SMM is to produce content that users will share with their social network to help a company increase brand exposure and broaden customer reach.

Here is some tools:
1) Page Insights
2) Google Analytics
So I am going to share a couple of free/partially free tools with you that may help you out, if you are a small business. For most of these tools have a very basic free plan and if you want to explore more features or analyze larger audiences, you may have to go for a paid version.
Audisense- Has a free twitter analytics tool for a small community of followers.
Buffer: The basic, free plan allows you to schedule a post on various social media platforms very day, which means setting up these posts daily and analyzing behaviour in the last 30 days.
Followerwonk: If you want to analyze limited twitter profiles alone, then this tool can be of great help!
Hootsuite: One of the most popular social analytics tool with many interesting features, the free version allows you to look up 3 profiles for free and then a monthly upgrade for $13 per month.
Klout: Your Klout Score measures your impact online, while also telling you where you stand with regard to your expert topics. Gives you an idea of what content is working so you can increase your Score by posting what your audience is looking for.
No matter what you do, nothing is free today. So these tools may have limitations on the number of profiles you may analyze or not all features are included in the basic or free plan. So if these don’t match your requirements, I can just state a couple of paid vendors.
I hope this helps you find the best suitable tool for your use case.
It does not have to be a very advanced social/digital analytics tool. Any simple social/digital analytics tools should be fine. For example, do you use any built-in analytics tools , Google Analytics, or Hootsuite? If so, please feel free to share.
Any inputs are welcome!
