What are your favorite news resources?
Many sites online provide us with the latest news and information. What is your "go to" site and what do you like most about it?
Please do not list your own website as resource or any other site that you contribute content to, market, do social media for etc...unbiased opinions only. This question is not to market your stuff but to share what influences us the most.
I visit everyday Business Insider and Huffington Post as they have short and easy to read articles of all kind of categories
I'm sorry typo error! :-(. Should be "NHL GameCenter". It's all about Hockey! Please visit NHL.com
Do you like Hockey Marzena? :-).
twitter.com, facebook.com, youtube.com or twitch.tv, all personalized to my needs.
For web marketing we follow a list of websites http://techshu.com/follow ... then we have a team which scans and gives us the ones that matters http://techshu.com/apple
"we" means nothing....YOU mean a lot. As a company I don't care what people filter through for business in this case...the question applied to individual on a personal level Aji if you have other suggestions. thanks !
Honestly, I get most of news from Facebook, mostly because I check it almost everyday! I know I know, I can't help it.
hahaha...Best way to lose addiction to FB is to actually place monetary value on time, replace that time with highly rewarding activity that is social & decide to only check once a week. We will realize quickly few scary things that might get some excited to limit time: 1. how much time get wasted that you could spend enjoying with friends in real life. 2. how quiet your life gets without it...nobody calls ;) <---that alone makes all of us realize that FB won't love us back and how much real life getes neglected because of wasted time on FB. 3. How anxious and stressed one is by simply reading all the exaggerated, ego centric, false realities...just try and see the difference by turning it off for a week to realize how bad this has gotten. Now...this comes from a social media and engagement strategist here...I have to be on it for clients, I limit personal time. Life escapes us fast. FB has been the biggest leech of time in all of our lives. It will never return the love we give it.
Following the right set of news resources on Twitter will usually get you a push notification at least 10 minutes before Google picks up a breaking news story.
Google news, US News and World report, LinkedIn News, many trade related sources that are unbiased. Any unbiased source that reports news quickly and accurately without political or religious bias is important.
Hi Marzena
I'd prefer LinkedIn, as there are lot more stuffs that gets updated sooner and is quite shared up by the fellow members. Asides, by moving with the technical concepts, I do prefer the articles from SEOMoz (especially the Whiteboard Friday). I feel well fixed with these two options.
Hi Marzena,
LinkedIn is the most powerful online provider for new ressources and information.
I just asked you to connect to my network.
I learned from people and from their activity and websites.
See you soon on LinkedIn i hope!
In my view, various Research Documents and activities of NGOs / INGOs can give news.. News is not always the updated report, but the information that would have community interest.
I'm a big fan of Linkedin and Twitter honestly. I follow the local papers, and a few national news outlets. It allows me to catch a quick blurb and decide what I want to read more of.
Don't laugh: Facebook :) I am surrounded and befriended with people and groups I have interest in and I just realised the fact that my facebook news feed does not consist of baby pictures, food snapshots and "I just releived myself" statuses but rather with links and comments of relevant news stories linked to outside content with more detail.
Other sources are simple aggregations thru RSS feeds that offer fast overview on specific topics you might be interested.
haha! I am laughing but only because I sort through what I want to read based on what has a high share rating on FB or Linkedin, that's one way I can rely on my community to sift through hours and hours of content and only highlight that which is really relevant and interesting, worth reading perhaps, then again other days I like to find my own nuggets that are interesting and be the one who proliferates fresh content across my network.
The GameCenter? What do you play on there Hanna?
