What invoicing program can you recommend?
What invoicing programs can you recommend that are cheap, but still look professional? I am currently consulting and need a way to bill my client. I have used Aynax in the past but my monthly trial period expired. They want $12.95/month. Is this my best bet or is there another program that is more cost effective?
I like Insightly, Harvest, and Freshbooks. They are all also very affordable. $12.95 a month is extremely reasonable as well!
I recommend PayPal which is the best gateway works really great.
Freshbooks has the most thorough, professional, easy to use invoicing system out there next to the well established quickbooks by intuit. What's so great about it is that it can stand alone or be packaged with other payroll, accounting, crm, or other softwares to fit your business needs. It's also very cost effective.
Quick books is really doing great with us, would strongly recommend you to give it a try.
Give Freshbooks a try as well. http://www.freshbooks.com/ We have been using for a year and are very happy.
You may explore WaveApp, which is an accounting software. It is free for basic features, which consists of billing system integrated to banking. If you are starting up, WaveApp should be sufficient to serve your need.
Otherwise, you may try Zoho, however you do need to pay for the subscription, depending on the features you subscribe.
Most small business accounting modules for Accounts receivable, customer base and sales. Systems such as QuickBooks have fairly user friendly systems that combine predefined templates and/or allow for design changes to them. You can in most cases buy add-ons that can interface with these accounting systems. Try QuickBooks to start to get a sense of the ease and basics of invoicing and collection and expand to a real nice stand-alone product (and doubles as an add-o) such as Bill.com that interfaces with QB.
One of my favorite programs when your needs are basic is QuickBooks Online-Simple Start. It had been 12.95 a month but was just reduced to 9.99. It does estimates and invoices, downloads bank transactions and is cloud based so you can use it on any computer system that has an internet connection, including a smart phone if you use one.
QuickBooks will allow you to automatically email invoices to the email addresses set up in the appropriate fields in the customer set up screen. They even offer a way to have the invoices electronically paid if this is what you would like to do. So, if you are already using QuickBooks to perform your normal monthly bookkeeping, this is a good bet. An cheaper alternative is to use PayPal, which you can have imported into your accounting software.
Try Hivage (http://www.hiveage.com), We are using this currently to send invoice to our clients.
I believe all of the online payment platforms (PayPal, Square, etc) have invoicing features. Do you want to simply generate an invoice or do you need a way for clients to pay you electronically?
You can create invoices in any word processing program, or as others have said, in Excel.
Personally, I use Quickbooks, because I do other business accounting in that platform, but that's not free or "cheap"
Pay Pal is actually really great with this. You can also use Mircosoft Excell, or Mac Numbers. Quicken I think is like 50 bucks and its super easy to use.
