Would creating a site like mosaicHUB be useful for an audience for law, tax, and finance issues for emerging countries?
I am running the Emerging & Frontier Markets Association, http://www.emerging-frontiermarkets.org/. Would a web site with Q&A help to generate paid members. I am currently doing a conference with a leading law firm on managing supply chains in emerging markets

If you search on "online forums ___" with the particular subject, you will find whatever you need. When we were ex-pats in BVI, we found a lot of such information and that was before the Internet became so large.
You might want to consider a tiered system beginning with a closed group on LinkedIn, leading to an Inner Circle group on you're website. Attract prospect to the LinkedIn group by offering value through community problem solving, then offer the more personalized guidance on your own site. Offering e-publications, private podcasts, and video series for sale to the LinkedIn group provides a pathway to the inner circle membership. This is becoming a common model for thought leaders and business gurus.
Linkedin has a number of groups dealing with business in particular regions e.g. Africa Infrastructure Finance where one can pose questions and share information. An additional value add might be something that more specifically targets an audience such as large company CFOs or corporate counsels. You could use Linkedin as the platform or per Darrin's suggestion use lLinkedin to attract an audience to your own site.
It will be a great idea. This Q&A brings the ideas and experience from every corner of the world into the single platform.. I endorse it.
