I have nearly 10 years of experience working with clients on developing and executing strategic plans across the world. From my working experience and extensive research, I have developed a model to assess, analyze, and improve organizations called the BrandedWorld Framework.
To put it simply, I help organizations by assessing their current situation, analyzing data, and developing a road map to increase efficiency, save money, and move towards achieving the goals set.

The term 'BrandedWorld' is used to describe an organization. All organizations have the potential to be a BrandedWorld. Some work to achieve it while others are not aware of it.
The BrandedWorld Framework is the model we developed to analyze, synthesize, and filter data through to better understand an organization’s performance level. The seven Axioms that make up the model are universal to organizations of all sizes.
The BrandedWorld Framework is scalable across all sectors of industry and all organization types. Is your organization performing well in all seven Axioms? Where can it improve?
From our extensive research, we have found that all organizations, (public, private, non-profit, government) are made up of seven universal truths, or what we call Axioms. Organizations need all seven of the Axioms performing at high levels to really thrive.
We then studied these Axioms and quantified them to be able to analyze how an organization was performing. Each Axiom can be scored independently, with the total being an index score. Our product, BrandedWorld Score provides both a broad picture and detailed analysis on what is working and what is not working for your organization.
What are 3 attributes you need to be successful in your industry?
Three of the top attributes needed to be successful in the management consulting industry are: Integrity: doing what you say you will do, keeping your word, and providing exceptional value is absolutely critical. Humility: being able to listen to a client's problems and fears, and feeling confident enough to know that while you may not be a true expert in their field, you can learn from them and still provide them with the training, skills, knowledge, and tools to help them succeed. Honesty: clients wil not always like what the recommendation is, however by being honest you can help them overcome and grow much faster. While tough to hear, honesty is usually the best strategy.
How are you different than others in your profession?
My background is very unique in that what I studied in school (landscape architecture) fueled my passion, curiosity, and determination to focus on helping entrepreneurs and executives develop and grow long lasting, sustainable companies. Having a design background combined with a passion for business has allowed me to use my creativity to the fullest. I not only help clients envision a future, I can show them the future they dream of through sketches, renderings, and other media. Then, we can write up plans, set goal and objectives, and execute, measuring and analyzing along the way. Performance management is something that fascinates me and is an area that I can grow with, both personally and professionally.
What are your biggest professional influences (books, mentors, events)?
To answer this question may take a while as there have been so many books, mentors, and events I have attended that have influenced my professional career. My all-time favorite entrepreneur is Sir Richard Branson. A couple of my all time favorite books include 'Mavericks at Work,' 'Pitch Anything,' and 'New Sales. Simplified.' Associate Planner at Parsons
April 2009 - November 2013
As an Associate Planner, I assisted in leading cross-functional teams of planners, engineers, and architects to produce high quality technical documents. Overseeing production and maintaining quality, my work focused on continuous improvement, process efficiency, and systems creation, as well as report writing, site programming and analysis.
Assistant Project Manager Tasks
- Oversaw and managed all aspects of the contract
- Coordinated and managed production of a highly technical, cross functional team to produce high quality documents on time and within budget
- Responsible for pricing proposals, ODCs, and Technical Management Approach Plans for Task Orders
- Updated and maintained accurate project schedule versus the preliminary schedule
-Responsible for tracking Earned Value for Task Orders (TO), checking percent complete against each task to determine physical percent complete overall.
Outside of those responsibilities, I was actively involved in business development, researching pre-solicitations and sources sought opportunities. Worked closely with senior team members to analyze and evaluate opportunities at bi-monthly meetings, brainstorm new marketing strategies, potential partnerships, and ways to further promote the Parsons brand locally. Also work with senior team members to write proposals in response to RFPs.
I served as Safety Chair for the Parsons Safety Committee in the Honolulu office. I led the committee to define and establish participation metrics, analyze that data, and used it to increase the overall level of safety awareness through strategic campaigns that aligned with employees interests at the office.

October 2007 - April 2009
At JZMK, I was a planner, assisting the Project Manager with tasks such as conceptual design, schematic design, illustrative master plans, putting together concept books, design guidelines, and running stats. Outside of those responsibilities, I also was a member of the Professional Growth Forum, a member on the LEED sub-committee, and contributor to the development of the brand.
Landscape Designer at Susan Black & Associates
May 2003 - August 2006
As a landscape designer, I worked closely with senior staff members to provide conceptual master plans, illustrative and schematic plans for private residences, cities, and public schools and colleges. I also worked as a facilitator to conduct public meetings and discuss ideas and concepts from the public. I was called upon to produce computer graphics and models for presentations and marketing materials.

Since late 2008, I have made a conscious effort to blog on the topic "business development for the service industry." The goal of the blog is to provide a resource for service industry professionals as well as entrepreneurs entering the industry.
