Introduction

About Me

I love the challenges of humans working together. Done right and you have a perfect organism. Done wrong and you have a misfiring machine. My efforts have and will continue to collaborate with teams to have the former.

Through experience, I have learned it is difficult as a business leader to get out of the trenches long enough to get the big picture view required for sustainable growth. At Pandion, we take this understanding and help your business or organization avoid the many pitfalls awaiting you. We do this in two directions:

Facilitation and Team Building
For over a decade I have been working with groups designing creative ways to engage and tackle challenges of working together. I now take this to a new level offering meeting facilitation as well as designing unique team building experiences in a natural setting.

Business Consulting
Primarily focusing in the travel industry, we work with companies, organizations, and destinations to connect to the needs and desires of the modern traveler. We assist with product development, understanding trends, and nurturing healthy company culture.

Past clients include:
Adventure Travel Trade Association, Savor Seattle Food Tours, Jiva, and more.

Specialties: Diplomacy, leadership, marketing, natural history, communication, team building, travel, product development.

Work/Experience

CEO at Pandion Consulting and Facilitation

December 2013 - Present
Through experience, I have learned it is difficult as a business leader to get out of the trenches long enough to get the big picture view required for sustainable growth. EPV - Biz Dev, Strategy, Corporate Sales at EverGreen Escapes Cascadia

May 2008 - November 2013
EverGreen Escapes is Cascadia’s premier sustainable adventure travel company based in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Providing private and small group naturalist led adventures and team building experience in bio-fueled Mercedes Vans, Crossovers and luxury coaches. Specializing in crafting upscale and authentic nature, epicurean and education based experiences for the responsible, curious and active traveler.

EverGreen Escapes strives to make sustainability the decider in both the tough and mundane decisions that we make. This sets us apart from many in our industry, but it means constant re-evaluation of all that we do.

We also operate EverGreen Escapes International - designing life changing international adventures and retreats.

President of the Board at Terra Forma Education

February 2002 - Present
Terra-Forma Education offers many unique programs based on a model that incorporates the concepts of mythic journey and magical realism with environmental education. In these programs, participants of all ages interact with characters in a complex story that is forming around them. The seemingly spontaneous storyline leads them through the challenges of self-awareness and group dynamics, as decisions are made that shape the future of the planet, just as it happens in our daily lives. Unlike many traditional education models, these participants are exposed to real life situations, and forced to make real life decisions, that help them become responsible adults. This all happens in the moment, without forethought, as students are involved and actively seeking knowledge, some for the first time.

Band Leader, songwriter, guitar player at Forgotten Sol

July 2001 - February 2008
Forgotten Sol rocked the music scene for nearly seven years with shows at some of the most important clubs (Neumos, Crocodile) and festivals (Bumbershoot). Throughout that time the focus was on creating incredible music with a powerful message - a style self described as Bohemian Soul. There are still a few CDs for sale on the website, and MP3s can be bought at iTunes and dozens of other online retailers. Check it out!

Naturalist and volunteer Coordinator at Discovery Park at City of Seattle
