My Skills

Profile Questions

What do you like most about your profession?

In my profession I have the opportunity to help others create value for their own business by creative thinking. By using known methods, the latest trends in that field and focusing on the particular problem the client has. Combining all of the data and putting in a useful format to best get the client their desired result.

What questions do clients most commonly ask you? How do you respond?

Most clients either ask how much their query will cost or if something is possible. As for the price, web and mobile applications or consultations depend on the complexity of the task. It would be unfair to charge a high amount for a non complex project. As for features, with today's technology, almost anything is possible through a little creativity combined with sufficient experience and a solid understanding of the requirements.

Describe a recent client engagement or project.

I recently that approached our services with a basic need for providing a better service to his clients. Without any specifics to work with, due to a lack of a good understanding of how apps can be beneficial to any business, we setup a assessment report. The report described our understanding of the client's need with the available app feature options, including mockups of the app, how it would look like. This provide the client with an image to what they had in mind along with options he might not even had considered until then.

What are 3 attributes you need to be successful in your industry?

Creativity Innovation Persistence

What are the most important things to consider when hiring a service provider in your field?

Expertise - does the service provider have sufficient expertise to efficiently handle a problem. Trust - is the service provider trustworthy, check if he has any recommendations.

How are you different than others in your profession?

CreateAppsHere provides consulting services to guide their clients through the process of establishing a app or website concept that will benefit their business. From their we provide our development services, which everyone else also offers. Depending on the client's experience we can also offer guidance after the launch of the website/app. Setting up the best way to market the app, or setup a strategy to let the client's customers familiar with the website/app.

What are your biggest professional influences (books, mentors, events)?

(1) Mentors (2) books/articles/blogs (3) events; workshops/trainings

How do you typically handle disagreements with clients?

I view disagreement as a teaching tool. I learn how clients react in certain situations, which sometimes are disagreement. Ultimately I know that the project is for the benefit of the client which means that they make the ultimate decision regardless if I'm the expert or not. Getting disagreement from a client can create a clear picture of what a client likes and dislikes, making it easier to be a service provider to that client in the future.

Describe your proudest professional accomplishment.

My proudest professional accomplishment was when a foundations was highly appreciative of the services provided by my team for free to further assist this foundation. The foundation helps children with autism, Stichting Toppie, in the Netherlands.

Which app do you share your updates with? Social media versus apps

Date: Feb 17, 2014
Social media is nothing new in today's world, but what is social media exactly? According Webster social media are forms of electronic communication, like websites for social networking and microblogging, through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content such as videos. In our previous post we've already established that even entrepreneurs need to get social. Social media brings so much to table for entrepreneurs. Some entrepreneurs use social media to observe customer trends to stay ahead of their competition. Simply observing what is said about a certain topic in the market. Others use it to push their products to their current and future client base.

Your wingman on Valentine's day; the mobile edition

Entrepreneurs have a social life too! Entrepreneurs can get social on the business end and in their private life. In this blog we'll set up Valentine's Day for the gentlemen, of course from a mobile perspective. Before we start setting up the day, we'll further emphasize the business and private parts of an entrepreneur. For the gentlemen it's important for them to be entrepreneur of the year while also being the best boyfriend, husband or best dad in the world on the private side of his life. Any man can be a father, but it takes a special individual to be a father.

The social entrepreneur; you need to be social!

Date: Feb 04, 2014
In this blog we'll only look at the tangibles needed for success. On the list of resources a entrepreneur doesn't only need to know what he's doing but he also has to have the means to do so. This is where it gets a bit more interesting when comparing the past with the present. Technology is growing rapidly and is accepted in the minds of angel investors and such financial parties a bit more than it was thirty to forty years ago. This is not to say that anything in technology which is pitched to a financial institute is going to get financing, but it is to say that people are more open to listen to what tech entrepreneurs seeking finance have to say. Back when people were more skeptic, the life of an entrepreneur was a bit harder to even get started. Although it sounds as if this was a long time ago, it actually really wasn't. The recent recession made everyone a bit more nervous and skeptic, regardless of the common knowledge that technology is a good industry to be in. As the economy in Europe, America and the rest of the world was crumbling, it was hard to start anything because only few were buying. With the economy slowly but surely recovering, once again there is a resurgence in entrepreneurship. Nowadays there are various ways for entrepreneurs to get started and stay afloat.

Types of entrepreneurs; superhero mobile edition

Date: Jan 27, 2014
With the recession came a lot of fear, but with it came a brave few that stood up against the recession which also caused a lot of depression among people. A few of these brave few are the entrepreneurs. According to Webster an entrepreneur is one who organizes and assumes the risk of a business or enterprise. The risk factor could never hold more truth than in this period of time. While some venture onto the entrepreneurial path, others are filled with fear due to the risks that come along with it. Even though entrepreneurship isn't for just anyone, it takes more than just skills to making it as a successful entrepreneur. There are many intangibles that come into play as obstructions on the path of a entrepreneur, like the many doubters on the way to the top. Besides convincing yourself that you can make it, there are plenty of others pouring doubt into that dream of making it as an entrepreneur.
