What do you like most about your profession?
Helping business grow and flourish with design
What questions do clients most commonly ask you? How do you respond?
I get a lot of questions about proper printing methods and how people can set up files. I try to answer them effectually with their budget in mind.
Describe a recent client engagement or project.
Im currently working for Wonder BIdet, a bathroom fixtures company, working on their overall brand and website. I also just finished the logo for DBL marketing and am in the process of finishing up a bunch of smaller projects.
What are 3 attributes you need to be successful in your industry?
Hard work, determination and creativity will get you pretty far in life. For designers, having a single skill is not enough, you need to know how o start a project from conception and follow it through to completion.
What are the most important things to consider when hiring a service provider in your field?
Understanding what you want vs what you really need. A lot of times, people have this vision in their heads but they cant articulate that. Its my job as a designer it interpret that vision and create it. Its all about communication.
How are you different than others in your profession?
You can pretty much ask me anything about business and I'll be able to give deliver a good answer. A job of a good designer is not only create beautiful things, but be ab;e to sell them, and since I have a marketing and business background in addition to print, design and fine art, I can offer a well rounded approach to most design questions in both a business standpoint but also as someone who knows her field inside and out.
