I am a passionate about experiential learning particularly in adventure and forest based locations / format.
A fair amount of my time is spent with Non Government / Developmental Organizations and Institutions.
I love travelling, meeting people, studying cultures and sharing my insights via interactive presentations.
I am an expert in YOGA – the Indian holistic science of synchronizing Body-Mind-Breathing-Action and I can facilitate deep relaxation techniques for people from all walks of live!

A: PhD in mistakes, Knowledge of the Industry and hands on practical experience! 2.Q: How do you retain your enthusiasm day after day, year after year? Describe a recent client engagement or project.

Client: TVS Motor Company – Manufacturers of Two Wheelers in India and abroad Issue: Developing Young Leaders – they recruit young people with Diploma in Engineering. They are put directly for on-the-job training. While technically they are very competent – they did not have any knowledge / skills of managing people (often double their age) and supervision. Solution: I studied their existing system; met their colleagues; superiors, managers, trade union leaders, internal and external customers and top management. Having identified the issues and challenges my team and I designed a pilot program 9 month long intervention which comprised: - Experiential out Bound learning based on role based competencies - 9 modules of two days each over nine months - 1 day post program assessments after each module with real time simulations / role-plays. - Train the trainer and programs; Coaching and mentoring skills for all their immediate superiors and managers End- result: Based on results; The pilot program became institutionalized in the third month and finally over 700 young team leaders went through this program and got certified. Uniqueness: B-O-T Build, Operate and Transfer. After establishing 6 full runs of this program the entire module was handed over to the company’s HRD for further implementation. It’s still running after 8 years!

How are you different than others in your profession?

I am a career consultant - joined this profession at the young age of 33 after giving up a cushy corporate job. I have worked with diverse range of industries across the board. Gained valuable insights and experirnce which I can convert into real time problem solving. I always enable my clients to take over from where I leave - this is achieved by developing Internal Change agents, Consultants and trainers.

What are your biggest professional influences (books, mentors, events)?

Events...on-the-job in the industry; off-the-job in consulting. Experiential learning Learning from mistakes - my own and those of others

How do you typically handle disagreements with clients?

By avaoiding them in the first place! I ensure that the brief is clear; terms of engagement are well formulated and there is a built in mechanism for continued discussion and course correction as required. Finally, by anticipating issues and concerns in advance and by proactively mitigating them.

Describe your proudest professional accomplishment.

Setting up an independent consulting organization which has remained in existence and also relevant for over 31 years.
