Welcome to the conversation.

When you run a business it’s so easy to make compromises. Compromises on what you do, how you work, how much you charge, and even compromises on your values and personality. We do all these things because we are working on the mistaken belief that any customers are better than no customers.

However, it is often these very compromises that are damaging to our businesses and undermine the value that our customers believe we can bring. So how do you keep true to yourself, whilst at the same time deliver your true value and earn the living that you desire? Well it all starts with you.

Through our conversations I can help you to understand the value that your unique position brings to your perspective clients. Help you appreciate how your own personality, values and strengths create a unique proposition that not only will help you get the clients that you want but also help you charge for the true value that you bring.

What do you like most about your profession?

When one of my clients has a light-bulb moment, when something that we have been talking about causes their thinking to suddenly click into place, that's the best bit. It's these life changing moments that really make my job such fun. Helping others to move their business forward and achieve what they want within their companies is so rewarding.

What questions do clients most commonly ask you? How do you respond?

How can you help? Everyday we have lots of conversations within our businesses, with our customers, suppliers, partners, teams and most importantly with ourselves. I help you make sure that your conversations get you the results that you are looking for and help you build the business that you want. Simply put I have great conversations with you about your business, in order to help you have great conversations within your business.

What are the most important things to consider when hiring a service provider in your field?

Find someone you like, someone that you trust and most important someone who you believe can help you achieve your goals.

How are you different than others in your profession?

Ironically the thing that makes me unique, that makes me different is the same thing that makes all of us unique. I am a unique individual, with unique experiences and a unique skill set and as such my perspective is unique. It is this unique perspective that allows me to help other people.

SBGN is about small businesses helping other small businesses. There is no one better placed to support and guide other businesses, which is why we have brought together dozens of volunteers across the south to help mentor and signpost start ups and struggling businesses with the help that they need.

In 2012 SBGN formally launched as a Community Interest Company. As part of the founding directors I am an integral part of the strategic development and operational delivery our our small business development programmes.
