Tax season, it's that time of the year again. Luckily there are apps that make filing your taxes a whole lot easier; here are our favorites.

Apps are sparing our sanity once again, even during tax season. D-day is upon us and it’s time to round up those loose receipts and file returns.

If you’re a sole proprietor, your due date is April 15th. And if you’re a lucky S or C corp, you may be required to file by mid-March. The clock is ticking, so check out our favorite tax apps to help you this year (and next).

When April (or March for some of you) rolls around, you’ll be sitting on a year’s worth of receipts. Whether you store them by envelopes or have one of those bulky scanners, keeping paper receipts is a pain. The Shoeboxed app helps you clear the clutter by capturing receipt images and organizing them in one location. You also have the option to send all your paperwork to Shoeboxed experts who then scan all your paperwork, verify the data and catalogue everything for you.

The TaxCuster app features the same calculator featured on the Turbo Tax website, but in the palms of your hands. It doesn’t calculate the exact amount nor does it file documents. It’s just a useful way to prepare for the coming months.
