B&B Reporting Inc. Pricing and Services

B&B Reporting, Inc. does not charge a setup fee or require that you order a minimum number of reports. Instead, they will work with you to create a personalized plan. Since B&B Reporting only provides customized plans, not preset packages, it does not list its prices online. Pricing for each plan also varies depending on the jurisdictions of the search and the level of detail needed in a report. B&B Reporting, Inc. lists the services and checks it can provide to consumers.

Criminal background checks include:

  • Multijurisdictional criminal search: Each search includes a sex offender registry (SOR), Social Security number validation, address history, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and all aliases. Reports typically include the date of arrest, case number, disposition date, degree of charges and inmate records.
  • County criminal search: Reports include date of arrest, case number, disposition date, disposition verdict, degree of charges and charge.
  • Statewide criminal search: Reports include date of arrest, case number, disposition date, disposition verdict, degree of charge and the actual charge.
  • Federal criminal search: These searches involve violations such as tax evasion, fraud, embezzlement, mail and wire fraud, immigration law violations, postal offenses, interstate drug trafficking, arms violations, kidnapping, and other federal crimes.

B&B Reporting also provides additional verifications and checks, including:

  • Public records searches
  • Professional reference check
  • Employment verification
  • Education verification
  • Motor vehicle records (MVR) check
  • License and professional certification verification

We were not able to verify if B&B Reporting charges third-party fees for some searches.

Pros of Using B&B Reporting Inc.

Two features impressed us about this background check company. Here's what we liked about B&B Reporting.

Advanced technology – B&B Reporting's software is easy to use and has more than 2,000 configuration options.  Each background check plan is unique to each consumer, and they are easily initiated and accessed through the online portal. After you request a check, the system sends an electronic invitation to the subject of the background screening. The invitation asks the individual for their personal information, which is needed to conduct the background check, and their consent to conduct it, which is required by law.

Results-driven agency – B&B Reporting claims a 19% criminal hit ratio and a 51% resume discrepancy. Its average turnaround time is less than 48 hours, with many of its reports being delivered within 24 hours.

Cons of Using B&B Reporting Inc.

There are a couple of items you will want to note with this pre-employment screening service, including:

Lack of online pricing – Unlike many of its competitors, B&B Reporting does not post pricing for its services online. The agency creates customized reports for each user. You'll need to contact a B&B Reporting representative to find out exactly what the cost is for the type of background check you want conducted.

Lengthier application process – You can't apply for an account online and immediately order screenings with B&B Reporting. Instead, you'll need to work with one of its representatives to first obtain a customized price quote and then to order a report, which can take longer compared to other background check companies. However, if you don't mind the extra steps involved with B&B Reporting's process, the one-on-one personal support may be worth the wait.

Customer Service and Support

B&B Reporting is an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau. It hasn't had any complaints filed against in the past three years.

When you sign up for an account, you are assigned to an account manager who can answer any questions you have and order reports for you. For all other inquiries about B&B Reporting or background checks in general, you can reach customer support representatives by phone, email, a contact form on the company's website and live chat.
