It has an intricate list customizer as well as several premade lists that can be narrowed down to fit your geographic and demographic needs. You can customize your own list using their database, or another option is that you can work with one of their list experts to pinpoint your audience and design a list that is likely to respond well to your message.
BB Direct's database lets you get specific with who you want to market your products or services to; it has hundreds of industry categories and dozens of several subcategories. You can enter other parameters, such as the demographics of the target company, an estimation of its earnings and how many people it employs. You can also specify the contact information for the particular person in the company you want to contact, whether it's a CEO, department head or manager.
The interface of the database has a helpful tip window that guides you through each step of building your list. The consumer list database works similarly but isn't nearly as detailed as the B2B one, and it has somewhat confusing criteria to select from such as repetitive categories.
BB Direct updates its databases every 30 days. Its minimum purchase requirement is 100 records. Lists are normally delivered by emailing you an Excel spreadsheet; however, there are other options as well, one of which is checking your current customer records and then combining those contacts with the list you create with BB Direct.
This broker service only provides you with lists; it does not assist with the direct marketing aspect of mailing campaigns. They do, however, help with email broadcasts; you provide the marketing material and BB Direct will send it out.
Based on our experience, BB Direct's customer service was satisfactory barring a few frustrations. The company didn't immediately respond to our email inquiries, and the representatives seemed more interested in upselling us on services than addressing our questions. The website has some helpful blog posts on direct marketing techniques, but it doesn't appear to be updated regularly. There is also no deliverability guarantee, meaning all sales are final.
BB Direct is a serviceable list provider that is good for acquiring specific B2B leads and nothing else. Its consumer lists aren't as impressive as its business listings, and we found the customer support to be mediocre.
