Heymarket is an affordable, cross-platform text message marketing service that has an intuitive dashboard, helpful tools and great customer service. It is available on browsers, plus there is a mobile app for iOS and Android. While it offers some unique and convenient features, it's missing some of the key features such as surveys and free incoming text messages that we like in a SMS marketing service.

The Verdict

Heymarket is a solid text message marketing service; it has all the features a small business needs to create great campaigns.

Heymarket offers four plans: Basic, Premium, Team and Enterprise, and the pricing is listed on its website. Plans are based on the number of text messages sent per month. Pricing is per month, and there are no contracts, so you can change or cancel your subscription at any time.

Heymarket offers a 15-day free trial, and you can schedule a demo of the platform.

Each plan comes with unlimited team members, contacts, devices and message retention. Also included in each Heymarket plan is a shared inbox (where you can combine your text and Facebook Messenger inboxes), unlimited lists, contacts, reminders, picture messages, templates, integration with G Suite, Facebook, Slack integration and website widgets (which allows you to text-enable your website pages.

  • The Basic plan costs $29 per month and includes 500 text messages.
  • The Premium plan costs $49 per month and comes with 1,000 text messages. You also get expanded features like reports (available for 90 days), custom signature, the ability to schedule messages, custom fields and autoresponders.
  • The Team plan is $99 a month and includes 2,500 messages. It includes all of Premium plan features along with email notifications, do-not-disturb mode, export chats and API.
  • An Enterprise plan is available, though you'll need to contact Heymarket support. This package includes all features and prioritized customer support and personal training for a custom price quote.

Unlike other text message marketing services we evaluated, Heymarket doesn't offer free incoming text messages, and, unfortunately, you can't send surveys – as a workaround, you can send a link to a survey in your messages.

Ease of Use

Heymarket offers a lot of resources to customers. You can schedule a demo of the software to get a sense for all of the platform's features and how you can integrate it into your business. In addition, there is a blog that provides helpful tips on text message marketing (and on Heymarket's features) and examples of how businesses use the platform. The help center has videos and expanded answers on a range of topics. You can contact support via texting and live chat.

We liked that Heymarket is very intuitive. When you log into the platform for the first time, it prompts you to import your contacts and send a message. Once the message is sent, it takes you to the shared inbox where you can add an unlimited number of team members to the platform for free. Team members can read and send messages from the inbox.

In the dashboard, you can easily manage chats by assigning conversations to different users. You can also import contacts, create and arrange different contact lists, design templates, create drip campaigns, create automated workflows and view reports.
