Since most business owners are on the go all the time, they constantly need to be able to run their business from mobile devices like phones and tablets. Of course, being on the go for business reasons typically means expenses on the go that are hard to track in a traditional way. Most accounting software providers have created tools for you to use on the go to track your expenses, and Kashoo is no different. However, Kashoo’s mobile applications work well where other accounting software don’t, giving you a way to track your expenses even when you’re offline.
You can set your business up with relative ease in Kashoo’s interface. The process is similar to other small business accounting software in that you enter your personal and business information before moving on to adding clients and creating invoices. In these initial steps, you can set your primary currency from a drop down menu. You also have access to a variety of tutorial videos that give you a broad overview of the interface and features it contains.
As you start entering specific information, such as payments, expenses and invoices, you find that there are two places to do so. You can navigate to their individual tabs on the dashboard, or you can enter them directly into the dashboard. Using the latter process is convenient, but it also creates a cluttered view of the interface as a whole, and important quick views of your cash flow and balances are pushed to the side. Creating customers and vendors requires to navigate to their respective tabs, but the processes are simple. One of the major downfalls of Kashoo’s interface is that it doesn’t allow to create and send quotes or estimates to your clients. Most small business accounting software feature this functionality.
You can get support for Kashoo’s bookkeeping software through a variety of methods. The interface has an integrated live chat box, which is nice when you need quick help while using the software, but you can also reach out via phone and email support channels. The support we received was satisfactory, but we wished we could find more help through ongoing education and active community forums.
Kashoo’s cloud-based accounting software is simple in both its operation and the features it offers. Its simplicity and helpful mobile apps make it a great choice for businesses just getting started, even though it doesn’t support the creation of estimates and quotes.
