Mozeo has one of the easiest dashboards to use of the text message marketing services we reviewed. It also has great features, including comprehensive reports, custom mobile keywords, autoresponders and contact management tools. However, it is missing some advanced tools, such as drip campaigns triggered by mobile keywords. If you have a question, it's easy to contact support by text or live chat. Its plans are relatively inexpensive, and it offers a 15-day free trial. Overall, Mozeo is a good choice for businesses that need basic text message marketing capabilities for a low price on an easy-to-use platform.

The Verdict

Mozeo is missing some useful features, but it has a very user-friendly platform and is inexpensive.

Pricing

Mozeo offers transparent pricing and a 15-day free trial. All plans include chat and email support, up to 300-character texts, MMS capabilities, reports and analytics, and contact management.

For one mobile keyword, you pay a one-time fee of $24.99. It's $69.99 for three keywords and $110.99 for five keywords. You also need to pay a one-time fee of $14.99 for a phone number.

Mozeo's plans use a different pricing structure from most text message marketing companies. Pricing is based on the number of contacts you have and how much you plan to text per month. The more messages you send in a month, the cheaper it is to send a message. For example, if you have 500 contacts and plan to send each contact two messages a month, it's 5 cents a message or $50. If you plan to send 500 contacts four messages a month, it's 4.6 cents a message or $115.

If you want to try Mozeo before signing up for a plan, you can start a free trial. The trial includes a temporary phone number, 10 text messages, a random mobile keyword and 15-day landing page trial. You don't have to provide your credit card information to sign up for the free trial.

Ease of Use

When you first sign up for a free trial, you receive a temporary phone number to use for testing. It then prompts you to answer a few questions, such as your company's name and a nickname for your account.

The Quick Info section of your dashboard shows active contacts, active keywords, text messages available and your phone number. You can easily click around to view contacts, text messages, landing pages and reports. The dashboard also showcases your last text messages and replies.

Overall, the dashboard is very user-friendly. It only took us a few minutes to go on a tour of the dashboard, import a couple of contacts and send test text messages. After you send the text messages, you can see their analytics. The reports include the number of outgoing messages, incoming messages, total messages, keyword data, inbox messaging and system messaging. Mozeo has one of the most intuitive and easy-to-use platforms we saw in our review process.

If you have any questions when you're in the dashboard, you can click the "support" link to chat with customer service. You can also press the tour button to receive a tour of the dashboard, or browse for answers on the blog and help center.

Mozeo Features

Analytics: Viewing and understanding analytics is critical for text message marketing campaigns. Mozeo provides analytics, but it's not clear what statistics and engagement metrics this service tracks.

Contact management: Contact management tools are some of the most important tools a text message marketing company can offer. The best services make it easy to upload existing contact lists, manually enter individual contacts, and include personal data for each contact. With Mozeo, you can include each contact's email address, phone number, full name, address, gender, birthday and custom fields. You can also decide which segmented group they belong to in order to make sure your customers receive messages that are relevant to them.

Mobile keywords: With Mozeo, when someone texts your keyword, they are automatically added to your contact list. Text message marketing companies use mobile keywords in various ways. However, some companies use keywords to activate drip campaigns or to manage opt-ins for specific segmented groups, which Mozeo does not.

Autoresponders: When someone opts in to receive your text messages, they automatically receive a response. You can edit this automatic response however you like before setting it to go out. Autoresponders are helpful because you don’t have to worry about accidentally ignoring a new customer, and you can send new contacts a promotion or welcome message.

Multimedia messages: You can send images, emojis and text messages of up to 300 characters. However, other text message marketing companies allow you to also send text messages with audio clips and videos.

Segmentation: You can create different groups and move contacts into each group. Segmentation is important for text message marketing campaigns. Creating different groups makes it easy to send target text messages. For example, you can create a group that shop for kids' products and send promotions for kids' products only to that group instead of sending it to your entire contact list.

Two-way texting: Mozeo's two-way text messaging is designed to replicate the way you send texts on your phone. With the service, you can preload replies so you can have fast conversations. This is helpful because customers are used to texting this way and feel like they are talking to a live person.
