Nextiva vFax is an online faxing solution that allows you to send and receive faxes using your email address or the company's web portal. You can also send faxes using a traditional fax machine if you're looking for a better way to send faxes but don't feel ready to move completely online yet. Nextiva offers affordable payment options and plans that can be tailored to your business's needs.

Nextiva vFax is competitively priced and offers several different pricing plans to cater to the needs of businesses of all sizes.

Pricing

Nextiva vFax offers three affordable service tiers. Each plan comes with a 30-day free trial so you can test out the service.

  • Single User: This plan costs $8.95 per month ($59.40 per year) and includes 500 incoming or outgoing pages per month.
  • Small Business: This plan costs $17.95 per month ($155.40 per year) and includes 1,000 incoming or outgoing pages per month.
  • Business Pro: This plan costs $34.95 per month ($359.40 per year) and includes 3,000 incoming or outgoing pages per month.

Nextiva vFax has one of the lowest overage rates we came across – just 3 cents per page over your plan's allotted total. For an additional one-time fee of $150, you can purchase Nextiva's Fax Bridge, which allows you to print faxes if you're not yet ready to cut the cord with your fax machine entirely.

Nextiva vFax Features

Nextiva is a fairly simple internet fax service that has several useful features. In addition to the ability to send and receive faxes online through email or a secured client portal, Nextiva allows you to add as many users as you need to your fax number. You can also port an existing fax number, meaning you won't have to change any business cards or notify your contacts that your fax number is changing. For an additional $4.95 per month, you can add another fax number to your account.

Nextiva's simplicity makes it easy to navigate and learn. Users simply log in to the secured client portal or their email account to send faxes and review any they've received. The portal is straightforward, much like an email platform, with an inbox, outbox and a list of settings users can change. There is little to no learning curve.

Customer Service

If you need help setting up your service or working something out on the online platform itself, you can reach out to Nextiva's customer support representatives via live chat, phone or email. The company's customer service department is available 24/7. You may also be able to find answers to your questions on the company's FAQs page.

Our customer service experience with Nextiva was exceptional. The representative we spoke with was patient and walked us through each of our questions until we truly understood the service. We found Nextiva's representatives to be particularly responsive and enthusiastic, even compared to some of the other highly rated customer service departments in our review.

Limitations

While Nextiva is a strong basic faxing solution for small businesses, it lacks integration capabilities, doesn't support international faxing and isn't compliant with HIPAA. We also found the company's online fax storage lacking compared to other providers, as faxes are only stored online for six months before they're purged from Nextiva's servers. Other companies offer to hold faxes for longer periods, if not for the life of the account. It also doesn't have mobile apps for sending and receiving faxes, though you can access the service on your device's web browser or email.
