Nextiva offers many payment options and plans so that you can find the software that's best matched for your business's needs. Since we evaluated similar plans across all of the fax services we reviewed, we focused on Nextiva's Single User plan. This plan lets you send and receive 500 pages monthly. Any pages beyond that allowance cost 3 cents per page, which is lower than most of the overage charges in our lineup. The monthly fee of $8.95 is competitive as well, and it's even lower if you pay annually instead of monthly.
You can send faxes with Nextiva to traditional fax machines or to email addresses. You can also send faxes with a traditional fax machine if you're looking for a better way to send faxes but don't feel ready to move completely online yet. Nextiva sells the fax bridge separate from its monthly service, or you can use your existing fax machine. Either way, you get to stay in your comfort zone with a fax machine but still get the perks of online faxing.
Some of the sending features we looked for in our review are missing from this software. These include international faxing and the ability to sign documents electronically. You can't schedule documents for future delivery either, though this is something that less than half of the services in our review offer. You can sign up for a toll-free fax number to benefit your clients and customers. You can also send faxes to more than one recipient at a time.
This online fax service stores your received faxes for up to six months, which is shorter than the storage periods of many of the other options in our review. Since Nextiva Fax integrates with Microsoft Outlook so you can save the fax emails, this shouldn't be a heavily weighted negative.
If you need help setting up your service or working something out in the online platform itself, you can reach out to Nextiva's customer support representatives. They can be reached via live chat, phone or email. A FAQs page is also available on the website; you may be able to find answers to your inquiries there.
Nextiva's competitive pricing makes it a tempting option, especially if your company is on a tight budget. However, it is missing some of the features we looked for in our review of online fax services.
