Pinpointe Pricing

Pinpointe offers flexible email marketing plans that fit into the budget of any business. It offers packages and pricing based on the number of contacts on your subscriber list, or you can opt to pay per email. The contacts-based pricing is a better deal for businesses that regularly send emails. 

You can view a graph of Pinpointe's pricing on its website. If you prepay for six months, you receive a 10% discount.

  • If you plan to send your full list of contacts more than six emails a month, you need to call Pinpointe for custom pricing. You'll also need to contact Pinpointe if you have more than 200,000 contacts.

  • With the contacts-based pricing, packages start at $49 per month for 5,000 contacts and 75,000 emails a month. Packages jump to $74 per month for 10,000 contacts and 150,000 emails a month.

  • If you have 50,000 contacts, packages start at $245 for 750,000 emails a month. For 200,000 contacts, pricing starts at $898 per month.

If you only send emails occasionally, the per-email pricing is better for you. One credit allows you to send one email, and unused email credits roll over each month for up to a year. The more email credits you purchase, the cheaper a credit is.

  • It costs $245 for 25,000 emails and $450 for 50,000 emails. You can buy up to 1 million emails, which costs $2,850. To learn about all the prices per email, see the chart on Pinpointe's website.   

Pinpointe's Enterprise edition is a multi-user, cloud-based package designed for businesses that send 250,000 to more than 10 million emails a month. Pinpointe also offers a dedicated IP address option for businesses that regularly send more than 100,000 emails a month. This feature is an additional $50 per month.

There is a 14-day free trial, which is useful to ensure you pick the right plan for your business.

Pinpointe Features

Pinpointe offers a wide variety of features and tools any business can use to create effective email marketing campaigns.

A/B Split Testing 

With Pinpointe's split testing, you can automatically find your best-performing campaign. You can create multiple variations of your email campaign, select a random sample size, and send each variation in equal number. For example, you can try different subject lines, email design layouts, times of day or days of the week, or "from" names. After the email goes out to the sample number of contacts, Pinpointe will determine the winning email campaign and automatically send it to the rest of your contact list.

Analytics and Tracking 

Pinpointe integrates with Google Analytics to track your email marketing campaign results. With Google Analytics, you can measure who is clicking on links within your email, visitor statistics, and conversion rates and revenues.  

Pinpointe's tracking and analytic features also include heat maps, social metrics and inbound marketing tracking, and it measures responses to your digital campaigns. It uses graphs to map data, which makes it easy to understand.

It also offers bounce activity reports, which display the number of messages that bounced in a campaign and show whether they were soft or hard bounces. In the event of a soft bounce, delivery might have failed simply because the subscriber's inbox is full. When Pinpointe flags hard bounces, it means the email address is invalid, so your emails won't go to those addresses in the future.

Automation 

Pinpointe allows you to send out automated email series and drip campaigns based on your contacts' actions. You can set up a sequence of drip marketing campaigns that go out over a specified time period.

Autoresponder campaigns aren't limited to single emails. You can create a series of messages to be automatically sent when someone subscribes to your list. You can design an entire customer journey and forget about it once it's set up. Pinpointe will do the work to ensure every customer gets personalized emails.

With autoresponders, you can select how many hours, days or weeks the program should wait after a contact joins your mailing list before sending a welcome email. You can use Pinpointe's segmentation tools to send autoresponders to a subset of your list. For more advanced options, you can create event-triggered email campaigns – for example, specific emails to go out when it's a customer's birthday or the customer makes a purchase.

Deliverability 

Pinpointe works hard to ensure your emails land in inboxes and not spam folders. It requires all contacts to have consented to receive your emails. It has earned certification from Return Path, which recognizes email marketing programs with high standards and places them on a list of trustworthy senders that goes out to inbox platforms, reducing the likelihood of your emails being flagged as spam.

Email Designer 

You can create HTML-only, text-only or multipart emails. Pinpointe will automatically deliver the appropriate format to each subscriber's inbox.

The easy-to-use email designer can help you create newsletters, promotional emails and more. You can use the editor or switch to HTML view to see or edit the code directly. With the editor, you can easily import and format text, change colors, create tables, add graphics, and include trackable links in your emails.

If you send emails across the globe, Pinpointe can help you create campaigns that display in multiple languages. Its tools ensure deliverability and readability in both English- and non-English-speaking countries.

Email Templates 

Pinpointe has a library of more than 100 email templates that are tested and ready to use. The templates automatically adjust to mobile phones, iPads and different desktop systems. Enterprise customers get a dedicated account manager and phone support during business hours.  

Lists 

You can create multiple separate lists. It's easy to add new lists and import your existing email contacts. Pinpointe walks you through each stage, so it's hard to miss a step. You can create lists for various purposes, such as monthly newsletters, existing customers and customers with special interests. Every list has its own set of custom fields for better targeting. Pinpointe also helps with list hygiene, eliminating duplicate email addresses.

Segmentation 

Personalized email marketing campaigns are the most effective. With Pinpointe's segmentation tools, you can create custom subgroups of contacts and send only relevant information to each group. This reduces the likelihood of spam alerts and opt-outs. You can also segment and target your audience based on previous behavior, such as only sending emails to people who opened your previous email.  

Pros

With this plan, you're 100% in control of your email reputation and can send more than 10 million emails a month.

  • Reliability: Pinpointe boasts a 99.9% uptime and a vast knowledgebase for troubleshooting. It emphasizes deliverability and permissions-based email marketing campaigns. It doesn't sell contact lists or permit the use of purchased contacts on its software.

  • Easy-to-use designer tool: The email designer makes it easy to create responsive emails. You can gauge your emails' performance with split testing, segment your contact lists and create an entire customer journey with its automation tools.

Cons

There are a couple of items that gave us concern, so you may want take them into account before signing up for Pinpointe.

  • Requires business address: When you sign up for Pinpointe, it requires you to enter a business email address, because most inboxes block emails from a free domain. If you don't have a business email address yet, you won't be able to use Pinpointe.

  • Must wait to use free trial: Once you sign up for a free trial, you have to wait for Pinpointe to review your information and activate your account. Most email marketing services allow you to immediately start using the program. When we attempted to create an account, we had problems getting approved. We quickly received an email that said Pinpointe was reviewing our information and would activate the account shortly, but we never received a follow-up email with our login instructions.

Customer Service

Customer support is available through live chat and email. Phone support is available for Enterprise package subscribers. When we contacted the sales department over the phone, we quickly reached a professional and friendly representative who answered all our questions. He also offered to send a follow-up email with instructions to start a free trial. When you sign up for a free trial, Pinpointe sends a welcome email that includes instructions for scheduling a training session.
