Features

RingCentral Meetings includes the essential features businesses look for in a video conference service, most notably HD video and audio for high-quality conferences, screen share, and access from iOS and Android devices.

Other features include an in-room chat that allows group messaging or one-to-one direct messaging during the conference and whiteboarding to facilitate collaboration. There is also a task management feature that allows participants to log and track tasks discussed during the meeting.

RingCentral Meetings provides dial-in numbers so participants can access the meeting by phone. This gives everyone the chance to attend a meeting, even those who aren't able to participate by camera.

Other valuable features include customer personal meeting IDs, company and user-level meeting settings, active speaker and full-screen views, and a variety of host controls.

RingCentral offers video conference hardware through RingCentral Rooms. The company can also connect your existing hardware to its platform, giving you greater latitude over what equipment you use and how you connect to other audiences.

RingCentral's HD video conferencing services are included in its small business unified communication system. The cloud-hosted system includes the ability to make VoIP calls and hold video meetings and audio conference calls. It also offers contact center services, team messaging and internet fax service. RingCentral Meetings Pros

RingCentral Meetings is relatively easy to use. It only takes a few clicks to launch, schedule, host or join online meetings. The dashboard is clearly labeled, and every option is largely self-explanatory. On the left side of the interface, users can mute their audio or turn off their video feed. Other dashboard options allow meeting hosts to invite additional participants, view who is already on the call, share their screen or enter the chatroom.

By right-clicking on the screen, you can access additional controls, including whiteboarding functions like drawing and highlighting, and the ability to pass control over to another presenter. RingCentral's intuitive system means the learning curve is small; first-time users can quickly become acquainted with the software.

The free service plan is a plus with RingCentral. Tapping into a video conference solution for no cost can be extremely beneficial for small businesses on a tight budget. While the length of your meetings is limited, the free plan includes all of the software's most valuable features. Other free services we analyzed have significantly limited feature sets.

RingCentral Meetings Cons

While the free option is a plus, be aware that RingCentral limits meetings to 40 minutes in that plan. That could be a problem for businesses that have lengthy meetings. However, that is one of the only downsides to RingCentral Meetings' free plan.

Another minor negative is that all recordings have to be stored on your own computer. Other services we examined include cloud storage space for recordings.

Customer Support

RingCentral offers robust customer care options, including a 24/7 ticket system and live chat. If you use one of the paid plans, you also have 24/7 phone support options.

Additionally, RingCentral maintains an active community of users, which customers can connect with to troubleshoot or learn more about the products. A technical support line for pressing issues is available internationally.

The RingCentral website includes an impressive knowledgebase with answers to frequently asked questions and details on how to use the software.
