Zoho Campaigns Pricing

Zoho has three subscription models: an email-based plan, a subscriber-based plan and a pay-as-you-go plan.

With the pay-as-you-go option, you pay with email credits. This is a great option for businesses that don't plan to frequently send out emails. The more email credits you buy, the cheaper each credit is.

  • Packages start at $7 for 250 email credits and $114 for 500 credits. The most expensive package is 100,000 email credits for $863.

  • The email-based plan is priced according to the number of emails you plan to send each month. This plan includes A/B testing, segmentation, personalization, and a drag-and-drop editor. Plans are based in tiers and start at $3 for up to 500 emails. The most expensive plan is $83 per month for up to 100,000 emails.

  • The subscriber-based plan includes everything from the email-based plan, along with unlimited emails, autoresponders and email workflows. This plan starts at $4.50 per month for up to 500 subscribers and increases to $9 for up to 1,000 subscribers. The most expensive plan is $302.25 for up to 100,000 subscribers.

Zoho Campaigns has a free plan – you can send up to 12,000 emails per month, and it supports up to 2,000 subscribers. Zoho offers a 20% discount for nonprofits.

Zoho Campaigns comes with a wide range of tools. Below we discuss the features we think are the most helpful to small businesses.

A/B Split Testing

With Zoho Campaigns, you can test different variables like the subject line, the sender's name and email address, or the content of your email. Reports will show which version your audience prefers, and you can compare the messages. Further, Zoho allows you to control a few aspects of your test, such as the size of your test audience and how long you'll run the test. Once the test is finished, Zoho automatically sends the better-performing email to the rest of your list.

With Zoho's autoresponder feature, you can create and schedule an email series. For example, you can set a welcome message to send when a person subscribes. Using the information provided on the signup form, you can schedule further messages. Zoho makes it easy to continuously engage your contacts with a series of specific action-based emails.

Email Editor

Zoho's drag-and-drop editor is very easy to use; you can customize your emails with your own images, text boxes and social buttons. With the editor, you can view how your emails will look on different devices and desktops.

Zoho reviews emails before they're sent to check for signs of abuse or language that could cause it to be marked as spam. While it might be frustrating not to be able to immediately send emails, Zoho says it ensures high deliverability rates.

Zoho Campaigns integrates with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. With these integrations, you can keep conversations going on social media by posting links, images, quotes and posts. You can also monitor social media posts.

Mobile App

Zoho Campaigns' mobile app is available in the Apple Store and Google Play Store. With it, you can manage your mailing lists, send campaigns, view analytics or check the growth of your mailing lists while you're away from your desk. The app also sends you notifications on the performance of your campaigns.

Once you send an email campaign, you can see data in real time. Zoho's analytics let you know how many messages you sent, what percent of the emails landed in inboxes and the bounce rate. You can view who and what percent of contacts opened your email, as well as clicks and opens by location. Data is presented in graphics, which makes it easy to understand the data. You can add Google Analytics to your Zoho Campaign and track activities back to your website.

With Zoho's segmentation tools, you can easily create, edit and segment contact lists based on your campaign needs and on criteria such as different interests. Combining automation and segmentation lets you target specific groups. You can set up autoresponders for segmented groups to make emails are more focused.

Subscriber Management

It's easy to manage your contact list and organize your subscriber details. You can import subscriber information or manually add each entry. Zoho makes sure your list is clean by automatically removing duplicates, bounces and unsubscribes. Another nice feature is signup form templates. You can tailor these forms and place them on your website, blog or social media accounts. When subscribers sign up for your emails, Zoho automatically adds them to your mailing list. You can also embed a QR code on your website. Your contacts can scan the code to immediately subscribe to your newsletter.

To create an email or newsletter, you can choose a template from Zoho's library, import your own HTML or customize a basic layout. It offers a lot of predesigned templates, including ones for different industries and holidays. Once you have created and personalized a template, you can save it to the library and use it anytime. One account can have multiple users, so everyone on your team can access your saved templates.

Here's what small businesses will really like about Zoho Campaigns:

  • Ease of use: With Zoho's email editor, you can create a professional email marketing campaign in minutes. Zoho walks you through each step; even if you don't have graphic design experience, you can still create great-looking emails.
  • Accurate previewing: Before you send out an email, you can preview it in both HTML and text views so there are no unpleasant surprises. You can also send test emails to up to five different email addresses. When you're finished previewing and testing your email, you decide which contact lists to send it to. Once you choose your lists, the email is reviewed by Zoho to ensure it'll land in the right inboxes.
  • Simple dashboard: Zoho's dashboard is simple to understand. On the left side of the main screen, you'll see tabs for campaigns, subscribers, automation, library and reports. You can also see what you have set to go out for the next 24 hours, and you can set reminders for upcoming events and holidays.
  • Free trial: Before signing up with Zoho Campaigns, you can schedule a demo, request a quote or join a free webinar to get a real sense if this email solution is right for you. After your free trial ends, if you're still not sure, you can also try Zoho's free plan before you pay for it.

  • Strong customer support: If you need technical support, you can contact Zoho through email, submit a ticket and receive a phone call, or browse its blog and user guides.

There are a couple of issues with Zoho Campaigns you may want to carefully consider before committing to the service.

  • No live chat: Zoho Campaigns doesn't offer live chat with customer support on its website, though you can still call and email support. You can also go through its knowledgebase for answers to common questions.
  • Cannot resend campaigns: If you want to recycle a previous campaign and resend it, it isn't so straightforward. You are required to clone it first, which can be time-consuming. It is possible to resend a campaign, it is just a little bit trickier in Zoho versus other email marketing solutions.
